Playful eccentricities with kindness and style

On Friday 19 October 2007, the opening of the exhibition, Dauergeil (Constantly Horny) by Eva & Adele took place in the White Trash Contemporary gallery in Hamburg. Dauergeil consists of an admixture of paintings which stem from the artists’ time travel period. The collection is appealing and joyful, nevertheless, infiltrated with societal sarcasm while provocative and extravagantly fashionable.

One cannot fully comprehend the boundaries of Eva & Adele, since their appearances are a constant performance, a Dauergeil state, in which their honesty is expanded to infinity - therefore impinging upon the realm of the non-real, the dishonest, the inaccurate and the fabricated.

I recommend you visiting this exhibition as Eva & Adele are some of the last survivors of this 24/7 performing kind; where the duplicated, autoerotic flesh is the essence of an aging –therefore dying- artwork.

As the artists state themselves, “these works emerged from time travel”.

Verspielte Exzentrizitäten mit Güte und Stil Am Freitag dem 19. Oktober 2007 eröffnete die Ausstellung Dauergeil von Eva & Adele in der White Trash Contemporary Galerie in Hamburg. Dauergeil besteht aus einer Auswahl von Gemälden, die aus der Zeitreise-Periode der Künstler stammen. Die Sammlung ist ansprechend und fröhlich, dennoch von gesellschaftlichem Sarkasmus durchdrungen, provokativ und modisch extravagant.

Da der Auftritt Eva & Adeles einer stetigen Performance, einem Zustand des Dauergeilen, gleicht, ist nicht gänzlich abzustecken, wo die grenzenlose Aufrichtigkeit ihrer Personen in ihren Werken auf das Gebiet des Nichtrealen, der Unaufrichtigkeit, des Fehlerhaften und des Fabrizierten trifft.

Ich empfehle Ihnen den Besuch dieser Ausstellung, da Eva & Adele zu den Überlebenden der 24/7 Performer gehören, innerhalb derer diese gedoppelte Autoerotik das Extrakt einer alternden - also sterbenden - Kunstgattung sind.

Wie sie selbst sagen: "diese Werke entstanden bei einer Zeitreise".
